Course Description:
Social Emotional Learning and Professional Development for educators. Begin the road to overcoming Learning Loss: Training for teachers and staff. Academic Performance. Self-Managing Classrooms. Creating Accountability. Strengthening Trust.
Course Objectives:
Students will build proficiency in social-emotional learning skills with quick and purposeful daily practice. Teachers/Staff will be provided with social emotional activities for every day of the school year. Each week students will practice all 5 areas of social-emotional learning:
● Self-awareness
● Self-management
● Social Awareness
● Relationship skills
● Responsible decision making

Assignments:
➔ 10%= Social Emotional Check-In /Attendance
➔ 10%= Summarize What you think Social Emotional Learning is based on readings/videos from Module One.
➔ 10%= Create a list of strategies you plan to use in your work environment
➔ 35%= Lesson Plans:
a. Create a lesson plan for the beginning of the year as a get to know you activity
b. Create a lesson plan for the middle of the year, as a revisit from long holiday breaks: such as Winter Break or Spring Break.
c. Create a lesson plan for end-of-the-year anxiety.
➔ 35%= Summary of course readings and videos
